Palak Paneer Paratha

Paneer also known as Indian cottage cheese is a  rich source of protein and calcium. While Palak also known as Indian spinach is rich in dietary fiber and Iron. Make this healthy, tasty and filling stuffed paratha and give a smile to your loved ones.
Palak Paneer Paratha

YIELD –5-6 Parathas


Wheat Flour - 1 cup
Indian Spinach - 1 cup finely chopped
Salt as per taste

For Filling
Paneer - 1 cup grated
Onion - 1 medium size (finely chopped)
Cilantro - 1 cup(finely chopped)
Bean sprout - 1/2 cup (roughly chopped)
Potato - 1 medium (boiled n mashed)
Salt as per taste
Sugar as per taste
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Curry Powder - 1 tsp
Chat Masala - 1 tsp
Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Fennel Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin - 1/2 tsp


  1. Combine wheat flour, spinach, salt and oil. Kneed into a soft smooth dough. Keep aside.
  2. Dry roast fennel seeds, coriander seeds and cumin in a pan.  Make a powder using mixer.
  3. In a deep frying pan heat the few drops of oil and saute onion until golden brown.
  4. Add salt, sugar, curry powder, chat masala, chilli powder and above prepared powder. Keep it aside to cool.
  5. Once it is cool down add grated paneer, mashed potato, cilantro and lemon juice in it.
  6. Roll out two medium size roti from the dough. Add filling in the center of one roti and cover it properly with second. Roll it again slightly to make it one whole paratha.
  7. Cook it on hot griddle using oil until both sides are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot.

NOTE: This will be taste good only if served hot.
