Spinach Paratha

Indian Spinach also called Palak is a very good source of Iron. Spinach  is widely used in Indian cooking. Try this Spinach Paratha / Palak Paratha for  lunch or Dinner.
Spinach Paratha

YIELD : 8-10 parathas
Wheat flour - 2 cups
Spinach – 1 full bunch
Salt To Taste

Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp

  1. Wash the Spinach leaves thoroughly with water and blanch them in hot water for few minutes. Pour cold water on leaves immediately after removing it from hot water so it will retain its green color. 
  2. Grind it to very thin paste without water.
  3. Sieve the wheat flour and add spinach paste with salt, chili powder and 1 tbsp of oil and knead them to stiff dough. (add water if required)
  4. Divide the dough in equal size ball (Lemon size)and roll them each into a thick, round paratha.
  5. Heat a tava and fry the paratha both sides to crispy and brown. Put some oil over the paratha.
  6. Serve the Spinach paratha hot with curd, pickle and any curry.
