Arrabiata Linguine Pasta

Arrabiata Pasta is one of the most famous and favorite national dish of beautiful land of Italy. Spicy and tangy basil tomato sauce "Arrabiata Sauce" is served with any type and shape of Pasta with choice of vegetables. Arrabiata means "angry"  in Italian language. Try this "Angry Pasta" to please your family members. 
Arrabiata Linguine Pasta

YIELD –3 servings


Linguine Pasta - 250 gms.
Mix Vegetables - 2 cups (Broccoli, Baby corn, Carrot)
Mix Italian herbs - 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Olive Oil - 2 tbsp

For Arrabiata Sauce :
Tomato Paste - 1 small can (200 gms)
Tomatoes - 2 large chopped
Onion - 1 big grated
Garlic - 4-5 cloves grated
Red Hot Chili - 2 finely chopped (adjust according to your taste)
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
Basil leaves - 1/4 cup finely chopped
Salt as per taste
Pepper powder as per taste


  1. Boil the 1/2 ltr of water in a sauce pan and add pasta into it. Add salt and few drops of oil as well. Add more water if required.
  2. Boil the pasta until cooked well. Once done strain out the water immediately and pour cold water over the pasta. Remove all water from pasta and keep it aside.
  3. In another wok heat the oil and add all veggies, salt and mixed herbs. Cook them until tender crisp. once cook keep it aside.
  4. For Sauce, Heat the oil in a sauce pan and add onion and garlic. saute well.
  5. Add tomatoes, chillies, salt, pepper, Basil leaves. Cook well until tomatoes are cooked well and pureed.
  6. Add tomato paste, sugar and lime juice into it. Cook it for around 7-8 mins. (As much we cook sauce it will add more flavors. You can also store this sauce for 1 week in refrigerator.).
  7. For serving, Place pasta in a serving plate, pour arrabiata sauce over it and top it with cooked vegetables. Put the plate in a microwave to heat for 2 mins on high power. (If you wish you can combine pasta, sauce, vegetables and mix well; and heat in a microwave)
  8. Garnish with Coriander leaves.
