Toor Dal - 1/2 cup
Onion- 1 big finely chopped
Potato - 1 big finely chopped
Frozen Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup (green peas, sweet corn, carrot)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Asafotedia - a pinch
Chili powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp

YIELD – 3 servings
Ingredients:
Rice-1 cupToor Dal - 1/2 cup
Onion- 1 big finely chopped
Potato - 1 big finely chopped
Frozen Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup (green peas, sweet corn, carrot)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Cumin - 1 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Asafotedia - a pinch
Chili powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tbsp
Garam Masala - 1/2 tbsp
Method:
- Mix the Rice and Toor Dal in a bowl and wash them. Add 1 cup of water and keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker; add cumin and mustard seeds. Once they start fluttering add hing and turmeric powder along with onion. saute.
- Add potato and vegetables. Saute well and add all the spices into it.
- Remove water from rice and dal and add it into cooker.
- Now add 4 cups of boiling water into it and close the lid of cooker.
- Cook it until 4-5 whistle. Let it be cool for some time until all steam comes out of cooker.
- Serve hot with curd/raita, papad and pickle.
