Sago Dhokla
Dhokla with a little twist, new flavor and shape will delight your kids. Either it is breakfast or evening snacks for your kids; this is a perfect option. You can simply pack in their lunch box, it will make them full. Try this recipe and send us feedback.
Rice flour - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1 small grated
Green chili - 1 finely chopped
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Fruit salt - a pinch

YIELD –2 plates
Ingredients:
Sago - 1 cup (choose smallest pearls)Rice flour - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1 small grated
Green chili - 1 finely chopped
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Fruit salt - a pinch
Method:
- Soak the sago for half hour. Wash it in running cold water and remove the starch from it.
- Microwave cook sago with water for 3 minutes until they are translucent. Remove excess water and let it cool down for 15 mins.
- Add all other ingredients into sago and mix well. Add water to adjust consistency to make thick batter. Give it a rest for 1 hour.
- Take half batter in another bowl and add fruit salt. mix well. Pour this batter in greased microwave safe plate.
- Cook it for 5 mins in microwave on high power. Check the dhokla by poking a toothpick in it. If its not done fully, cook again for more 1-2 mins.
- Cool it for 5 mins. Cut it into desired shapes.
- Serve hot with chutney.
