Sambha Godhumai/wheat Rava Adai

Sambha  Wheat / Godhumai Rava is enriched with full of fibers and proteins. Its a perfect ingredient that can be used for all age group. This wheat rava can be used to prepare many dishes due to its health benefits. We thought of sharing with some of the recipes which we use to prepare regularly at home to avail  you the best ideas. Sambha Wheat Rava Adai

YIELD –10 Adai


Sambha Wheat Rava-1 1/2cup
Onion-1 large finely chopped
Fresh Grated Coconut- 1/2 cup
Dried Red Chilli-5no
Tamarind Paste-2tbsp
Cumin Seeds- 1tsp
Coriander Leaves- 2 tbsp
Curry Leaves- few springs
Salt To Taste
Oil To Fry


Sambha Wheat Rava Adai
  1. Grind together red chilli, coconut, hing, cumin seeds, salt, tamarind paste using processor or mixer.
  2. Combine sambha wheat rava and again grind with water as required.
  3. Now add grated coconut and give a pulse for few times.
  4. Tranfer the batter to the large bowl and mix well with sufficient water to make thick batter for preparing Adai. 
  5. Add onion,chopped curry leaves, coriander leaves to the ground batter.
  6. Heat a Flat nonstick pan, pour a laddle full of batter and spread evenly to form thick or thin crepe.
  7. Drizzle oil all over the edges and fry both sides till golden crisp.
  8. Serve with Coconut Chutney.


Adding coconut will enhance flavor and taste, include as per to your preference.
