Paanagam
Paanagam is made for all fasting festivals. Paanagam with its ingredients is known for its medicinal properties. This serves as a refreshing drink when one is in fasting. The cooling properties is very good for a fasting stomach. It also helps to get rid of the tiredness. This can also be served as a cooler for summer. Make this Paanagam as a neivedhiyam for the god on a fasting day and get the blessings of god.
Water - 2 cup
Dry ginger Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Cardamom - 1 crushed
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp.
Peppercorn - 5 or Pepper - 1/2 tsp.

YIELD – 2 SERVINGS
Ingredients:
Crushed Jaggery - 1/2 cupWater - 2 cup
Dry ginger Powder - 1/2 tsp.
Cardamom - 1 crushed
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp.
Peppercorn - 5 or Pepper - 1/2 tsp.
Method:
- Add crushed jaggery to water. Stir until jaggery dissolves well.
- Filter it in a strainer to remove impurities from jaggery.
- Crush the cardamom and peppercorns.
- Add dry ginger powder, Cardamom, lemon juice and peppercorns to the jaggery water.
- Serve chilled or use as a neivedhiyam.
