Panner Capsicum in rich and creamy corn gravy.
Panner Capsicum in Corn Gravy, as its name says, is a delicious and thick curry dish made with paneer and capsicum dipped into rich and different sweet corn based gravy/sauce. My son inspired me to make this new invention just to hide corn kernels as he doesn't like to eat it. I got the award for this dish when he finished his plate and said "VERY YUMMY". Preparation & Cooking Time:
YIELD : 3 persons
Ingredients:
Paneer - 1 cup
Capsicum(Green and Red) - 2 medium size (1 Red and 1 Green)
Onion - 1 medium chopped
Oil - 1 tbsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Hing a pinch
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chili Powder - 1 tsp
salt as per taste
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Kasuri methi - 1 tsp
For Gravy:
Sweet Corn kernels - 1 cup
Onion - 1 medium size roughly chopped
Tomato - 1 medium size roughly chopped
Method:
- Soak the paneer in hot water for 10 minutes. If using frozen panner cook in boiling water for 5 minutes.
- Grind all the ingredients of gravy and make a coarse paste.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add cumin seeds and hing.
- Add chopped onion and ginger garlic paste. saute well.
- Add above capsicum and above prepared gravy.
- Add all the spices i.e. turmieric powder, chili powder, salt, garam masala and kasturi methi.
- Cook for 8-10 minutes or untill gravy start to leave the oil.
- Just before serving add paneer in hot gravy.
- Serve hot with your choice of Paratha Or Roti.
