Oats-Cabbage Paratha

Indian Flat Bread made with Oats & Cabbage
Oats & Cabbage Paratha, is a super healthy paratha. I normally add oats meal in all kind of rotis and paratha with different combination of grated vegetables in it.  This one was best attempt and my son loved it like anything. This is very simple and easy recipe to make Oats Cabbage Paratha and pPerfect for kids and their lunch box  .

Preparation Time: 10 minute

Cooking Time : 15 minutes

YIELD :10 parathas


For making Dough
Oats meal - 1/2 cup (Grind rolled oats in mixer to a coarse flour)
Wheat  flour - 1/2 cup
Cabbage(grated) - 1/2 cup
Salt as per taste
Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
Oil - 1/2 tsp

For making Parathas:
Wheat flour for rolling paratha
Oil for cooking paratha 


  1. Combine all the ingredients for dough in a large mixing bowl and prepare a stiff dough. (Do not add water as cabbage will leave its water which will help to binding flour. as you knead it more it will leave more water. If you will need water add few drops only.)
  2. Make even size small balls of the dough and roll them separately into a round shape. Use wheat flour to dust paratha while rolling.
  3. Roast them in both sides in flat tava (griddle) using little oil until golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with your favourite curry/subji/dal.


Make paratha immediately after preparing dough. If you will keep the dough for longer time, it will lose its stiffness and become very soft and loosen hence unable to roll them properly (due to cabbage water content in it).
