An easy weekend lunch idea that comprises simple menu yet delicious and filling. This meal includes Jeera Puloa, Mixed Vegetable Curry and Masala chaas(buttermilk). The meal could be probably useful for bachelors, home away youngsters and even with newbies to the kitchen.
Many times I try to compromise myself to eat less but couldn't make it happen ever. But this quick meal made it happen.
Jeera pulao is simple and flavorful that goes well with any spicy curry /gravy. And I tried the mixed vegetable curry that combine perfect when eaten with pulao, also healthy. Finally no meal without drink , how about spicy buttermilk - a super thirst quencher that keeps you cool. So tell me does the meal sounds yummy and healthy?
Believe me this menu will take only 30 minutes to get done. Plan prior ahead and it work outs well for a scrumptious lunch.

First let's check out the procedure for preparing Jeera pulao. Jeera pulav is simple to prepare, very mild with less spice yet tasty. The cumin seeds dominates highly to enhance the puloa, thus leaving very flavorful with whole spices.
All You need is
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice -1 cup
Water - 2 cups
Green Chilli - 2no.
Cashew Nuts - 6-7
Cumin Seeds / Jeera - 1 1/2 tbsp
Ginger Garlic Paste - 2tsp
Bay Leaf - 1
Ghee - 1tbsp
Ghee - 1tbsp
Oil - 1tbsp
Salt To Taste
The healthy combination of carrot, cauliflower, potato and paneer in a spicy onion tomato gravy makes a rich and delicious quick curry under 20 minutes.
All you need is
Ingredients:
Mixed Vegetables- 11/2 cups(boiled)
(I used Carrot, potato, Cauliflower)
Fresh /Frozen Paneer / Indian Cottage Cheese - 1/4 cup
(cut into small cubes)
Onion - 1 Large Finely Chopped
Tomato - 1 Large Finely Chopped
Curd / Yogurt - 2 tbsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Sugar A pinch
Coriander Leaves - one fistful finely chopped

Plain Natural Yogurt / curd - 1 cup
Green Chilli - 2no.
Ginger - 1" piece chopped(deskinned)
Ice Cold Water - 1 1/2 cup
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Chaat Masala - 1 tsp
Asafeotida / Hing - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves few springs
Curry Leaves few springs
Black Salt To taste
