Guacamole | How to Make Mexican Avocado-based Dip
A quick mexico dip with avocado, onion, tomato, chilli, coriander and splash of lemon.
Guacamole is a classic dip made with Avocado - tropical fruit, orignated from mexico. This is one such easy to make sauce that takes just 5 minutes. Delicious dip to try with tortilla chips. I love the recipes that take no time to cook or prepare. Engage you kids to do this quick dip, just allow to throw all the fresh ingredients in a bowl , gently mix them. They will love to do this as a fun and will enjoy to taste it.
Preparation Time : 5 Minutes
YIELD : 1 Bowl
Ingredients:
Avocado - 2 ripe
Tomato - 1 finely chopped
Onion - 1 medium sized finely chopped
Juice of 1 Lemon or lime one
Garlic - 1 clove crushed
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp finely chopped
Green Chilli - 2 no minched
Salt To Taste
Method:
- Cut avocados into half, remove stone and scoop out the inner fresh fruit. Put it in a mixing bow, roughly mash the avocado either with fork or with clean hands.(should be little chunky).
- Add some roughly chopped onion, tomato, minced green chilli (use as per the degree of your spice level),sprinkle few chopped coriander and salt as desired to taste. Give a good mix.
- Finally squeeze out juice of lemon or lime accordingly to the sourness you love to have.
- That's all !! The classic Mexico guacamole is ready to serve with Tortilla chips and or with Burritos.
Note:
- If you are preparing this dip in advance, cover it up with cling wrap to prevent oxidation from air.
- Serve this with salsa to wrap in burittos for a quicker meal.
- For quicker version try the mashed avacado with salt and pepper, with some salsa or sour cream.
