Green Chutney Recipe | Hara Dhaniya Ki Chutney For Chaat Recipes

Hara Dhania Chutney also called as green chutney / coriander chutney is a perfect accompaniment to serve with Indian chaats. In simple I should say this a versatile chutney. This vibrant chutney  is a wonderful spread in any sandwich. Adds more taste when brushed on the grilled fish. Makes your kebabs or tikkis tastes simply exotic when dipped in it. Adds zing when used as a marinade for tandoori chicken,panner tikk i.  Also try along with coconut and makes a delicious Coriander Coconut chutney that  goes well with dosa / Idly.

Preparation Time : 10 Minutes

YIELD :1 bowl


Coriander Leaves - 200 grams
Green Chilli - 4no.
Cumin - 1 tsp or ground cumin powder - 1tsp
Sugar - 1tsp
Mint Leaves - 4 tbsp
Salt To Taste
Lemon Juice - 3-4 tbsp
Water - 150 ml(3/4 cup)


  1. Put all the ingredients into the mixie or processor. 
  2. Process until smooth. Pour water little by little to grind to fine paste.
  3. Transfer to the container. Use as needed.
  4. Green chutney serves as a best accompaniment  for all Chaat Recipes, sandwiches, pakores, bhaji..... 
  5. This chutney stays good for upto a week.


Adjust the chilli as per the spice level.
Add more mint leaves to make more flavour.
