Paneer Tikka Masala Recipe | Ezcookbook
Paneer Tikka Masala; a famous and all time favourite dish of almost everyone in India. It is made with marinated tangy and spicy paneer and vegetables kebabs. Later dipped in a very simple yet delicious gravy/masala. Serve it as a appetizer when dry or dip them in a gravy and serve in main course with Roti/Naan/Rice. Ingredients:
For Marinating:Paneer cubes - 1 cup
Green capsicum - 1/2 cup cubed
Hung curd - 1/2 cup
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Kauri methi 1 tsp
Amchur (Dry mango) powder 1 tsp
Butter or oil for brushing
For Gravy
Onion - 1 big finely chopped
Tomato - 3 nos.
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam masala- 1 tsp
salt as per taste
Cream 1/2 cup
Oil + Butter - 2 tbsp
Method:
- For Paneer Tikka : In a Large mixing bowl mix all ingredients hung curd, Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Garam masala, Ginger garlic paste, salt, kasuri methi, Amchur (Dry mango) powder and prepare marination paste.
- Mix well and add fresh paneer cubes and cubed capsicum. mix well to coat them well with paste. Keep it in refrigerator for half n hour for marination.
- Spread all cubes in a aluminium foil and brush with butter or oil.
- Broil in a preheated oven for 15 mins or until they start to get brown spots on edges. (you can also grill them in skewers or shallow fry them in pan).
- For Gravy: Blanch tomato in boiling water for few minutes. Once done take it out and remove the skin. prepare the puree using blender. keep it aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add onion. Sauté for few minutes until transparent. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for few seconds .
- Add all the dry spices salt, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder. mix well and cook for few seconds.
- Add tomato puree and 1 cup of water and cook for 10 minutes on low flame until gravy thickens and oil start to bubble.
- Add kasuri methi and cream. mix well. add grilled paneer and capsicum. Cook for 5 minutes so paneer will absob flavours from gravy.
- Take it out in serving dish and garnish with coriander.
- Paneer Tikka Masala is ready to serve. Serve it with Roti/Naan/Rice.
