Strawberry Rice Kheer | Strawberry Rice Pudding

Rice Kheer is traditionally very popular in all around India. It is made in almost every kitchen especially in festivals and occasions. This time I made this traditional rice kheer with a twist. Try making this refreshing pink strawberry version of this dessert. It tasted super yummy and delicious. Follow this recipe to make Strawberry Rice Kheer / Strawberry Rice Pudding.

Preparation & Cooking Time : 30 minutes

Yield : 6 servings


Cooked Rice - 1 1/2 cup
Milk - 3 cups
Condensed milk -1/2 tin
Fresh Strawberry Crush - 1/2 cup
Strawberry essence - 1 tbsp.
Mixed Dried Fruit - 1/2 cup roughly chopped (Cashew, pistachio, almond)
Fresh strawberry - 6 no's for garnishing


  1. Boil milk in a big non stick pan.
  2. Add cooked rice and condensed milk in it. 
  3. Mix together and simmer it on low flame for 10 minutes stirring continuously or until it comes to a thicken consistency.
  4. Add freshly crushed strawberry and strawberry essence in it.
  5. Add roughly chopped dried fruit. mix well.
  6. Let it cool down completely. Keep it in refrigerator to chill before serving.
  7. It tastes best when served chilled.
  8. Before serving garnish with fresh strawberries.


  • Try to use freshly cooked rice for best results.
  • For variation you use cardamom and saffron or rose flavours.
