Baked Cheese Corn Balls

Cheese Balls is a creamy cheesy golden balls which makes a perfect healthy starter for all age groups. Its crunchy yet soft centred texture makes it so yummy that it will just melt in mouth along with cheese. There are so many recipes to make cheese corn balls with different ingredients and spices along with two main ingredients. But I used minimum ingredients and instead of frying I baked it. It tasted absolutely delicious. Try this easy recipe to make Baked Cheese Corn Balls.


Preparation & Cooking Time : 15 mins + 15 mins

Yield : 15 balls


Boiled Sweet Corn - 2 cups
Cheese- 1 cup (I used cheddar cheese)
Corn Flour - 1/2 cup (or as needed)
salt as per taste
Red Chili Powder - 1 tsp
Coriander - 2 tbsp. finely chopped
Green chili - 1 no finely chopped
Milk - 1/2 cup
Bread Crumbs - 1 cup
Tomato Ketchup for serving


  1. Boil the sweet corn and drain water completely. It should be completely dry same as fresh from the cob.
  2. Crush them in a mixture grinder coarsely.
  3. Add them in a big mixing bowl. add shredded cheese and corn flour.
  4. Add salt, chili powder, green chili and coriander.
  5. Mix it well and prepare a dough like mixture.
  6. Divide the mixture equally and shape them in a golf size balls.
  7. One by one dip them in a milk bowl and coat them well with breadcrumbs.
  8. If you want to deep fry the balls then keep in refrigerator to chill for 20-30 minutes.  
  9. If you want to bake them arrange in a baking tray.
  10. Bake in a preheated oven for 15-10 minutes on 180C.
  11. Serve hot cheese corn balls with ketchup.


  • Boiled corn should be completely dry or else the mixture will be very wet and difficult to roll balls
  • Authentic recipe asks to deep fry these balls, but to make it more healthier I choose to bake them and it taste equally awesome.
  • You can use any cheese i.e processed or mozzarella.
