Homemade Sing Bhujia | Oven Roasted Masala Peanuts ~ Guilt-Free Snack

Roasted Spiced Peanuts coated with gram-flour and spices.

Hi all, wanna taste this hot and spicy fried Peanuts, sorry sorry baked peanuts with exotic Indian spices. Yes it's  baked and can munch as many as without guilt.  I love Indian spices  that has a nice flavor and taste, that's why I use besan with chilli powder, garam masala and a generous pinch of chaat masala and amchur to give zingy, tangy effect. Toss all masala with peanuts and bake it. Enjoy the spicy masala groundnuts with a cup of Tea.

Preparation & Cooking Time : 20 minutes

YIELD : 1 bowl


Peanuts - 1 cup
Besan - 1 cup
Rice flour - 2 tbsp
Salt as per taste
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chili powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Chat masala - 1 tsp
Amchur Powder - 1 tsp
Powdered sugar - 1 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp 


  1. In a large mixing bowl add besan, rice flour and all dry masala i.e. salt, chili powder, chat masala, garam masala, amchur powder, turmeric powder and sugar. Mix them well.
  2.  Soak peanuts in another bowl for 2-4 minutes and strain water.
  3. Add wet  peanuts in besan mixture and toss them to cover with besan. Drizzle few drops of water to coat them well with besan.
  4. Add oil and toss again.
  5. Spread them in baking tray lined with baking paper. Roast them in preheated oven at 200 ° C for 8 - 10 minutes.
  6. Take out tray and break lumps if any and flip them over to cook thoroughly.
  7. Roast again for 5-7 minutes or until done. (Adjust time as per your oven).
  8. Take out the tray and let it cook down for 10-15 minutes.
  9. Store them in air tight container. It can be stored up to 2-3 weeks.
  10. Enjoy crunchy muchy masala peanuts with tea or anytime in between your meals.


    For fried version, you can simple deep fry coated peanuts. Just drop single peanuts one by one in hot oil, fry unitl golden brown. keep stirring them in oil to cook all sides evenly. once done take them out in kitchen paper. Let it cool down. store them in air tight container and munch them anytime you like.
